Probe
The tome is entitled "The ritual of the Eoses", and primarily details a strange ritual said to take place within the eaves of the greenwood. The forest creatures of the title are said to lead dumb animals of every kind to the their place of worship, a stone cross, and embalm the cross with the herbs of lestagii, tyrlar and ollso. The author then describes an extraordinary visage, for a moment after the eoses placed a sacred stone within the apex of the cross there rises a mighty spirit from within. The spirit, described as friendly to the forest peoples, casts a blessing upon them and then fades from vision. The ritual is followed by all manner of feasting and celebration, although you gather from the aged nature of this tome that such festivities may have long passed into legend.
