Once owned by the legendary spear-warrior, Gant of the Mountains, the spear is one of the greatest surviving artifacts from before the tumultuous Divine War of more than six centuries ago. When Gant fell in battle to Darfox the Destroyer soon after many successful campaigns against the Raffish hordes, the spear was seized by his entourage and taken back to his mountain home. Some decades later the mountain village was attacked and ransacked by Orcs under the instructions of Agemmenion the Astrologer who had traced the spear. All that is known of the spear after that point is that it did not fall into the hands of the orcs. A traveller from the south of Avalon fled home and no more was heard of it.
