Examine
The tome is bound in red leather, its cover bearing the simple octagonal star of Astrea, goddess of wisdom and, inside, the title, "The Blessings of Wisdom". It details the response of Astrea, goddess of wisdom in the ancient days to the curse of the Evil One. Wisdom divine erected, in a most holy of places, a white totem to keep a check on the black totem of evil. While the Evil One strove to rebuild the totem of evil with ebony symbols from about the land, the Wise One created an equal number of white onyx symbols which, when gathered together and placed within the white totem, gives supremacy to Wisdom over Evil for a period. If, in addition to this, all of the black ebony symbols are banished from the land for a time, then the blessings of Astrea, goddess of wisdom will be free to reign over Avalon; spirits of darkness and dark magics will be squashed or weakened and all evil doers will find their powers curtailed.
