The Ritual of the Eoses

PUT STONE IN SLAB
The stone sits neatly in the niche upon the stone slab, as if purpose designed to rest here. A gentle glow flares from the jewel, illuminating the chamber for a moment in a soothing blue light.

PUT EMERALD IN SLAB
You place the emerald into the left niche, where it slots it perfectly to the overgrown stone of the ancient altar. It shines for a moment with a bright green aura.

The moon crystal and emerald united upon the altar begin to pulse with an ethereal light, the merged hues of their luminescence filling the fogous.
In a moment Cormellon the elder of the eoses is by your side, his aged face bathed in the calming aura of the crystals. He smiles and clasps your hands happily, his expression alone symbolic of his undying gratitude. You move closer to observe the marvellous spectacle of the altar set with the gems.
As you move closer the light from the gems shines brighter, changing into a golden hue which reaches through the superficiality of your outer skin to touch your very soul. The rapturous enchantment of the gemstones holds you within its sway for a moment and then the golden light fades, returning to the soft green which filled the fogous before.
Cormellon thanks you once more for returning the stones and anoints you with paints to ensure the blessings of the forest and protection from evil spirits.
A female eose runs up to you, and despite her obvious embarrassment at such close contact with one of the mannish folk, she offers you a tribal mantle of the eoses, her eyes shining with gratitude. You accept the gift, clearly woven by her own rustic hands.
