DROP WOOD
LIGHT WOOD
You arrange the firewood into a camp-fire, and light it carefully. It burns and crackles nicely, and gives out an extraordinary heat.
The heat in the cave becomes unbearable, and you are just about to step outside for some air when you hear a great creaking from the northwestern end. Suddenly there is a great C-R-A-C-K and a square hole in the northwestern wall explodes inwards. Evidently a doorway of some kind blown open by the intense heat in the cave, a passage now leads into the mountain north.
GET SHARDS
GIVE SHARDS DROGAR
Drogar comes over and looks at the shards. "Hmm. Obsidian eh? Haven't worked Obsidian since the days of Zarach-zil and the Dwarven kings. Makes a nice sword - wait here for a minute." He then goes over to his assistants and has a whispered discussion.
The smiths fire up the forges.
Drogar places the shards in a large melting-pot.
The shards slowly begin to melt, forming a thick black liquid.
Drogar takes the liquid, and pours it into a great sword mould.
The smiths place the sword mould in a cold forge with a great hiss of steam.
Drogar scratches his rune onto the blade, and hands it to you, cold to the touch. "There you are, on the house!" he booms, pleased to have worked such excellent material, and you thank him profusely.
GIVE SWORD BALUR
You hand the Obsidian Sword to Balur who takes it gladly from you. He leaps about joyfully for a few moments, before solemnly presenting you his profuse thanks.
