The Wight Quest

WIELD SHORTSWORD

PUT SCEPTRE ON TAPESTRY
You place the sceptre atop the tapestry where in lies spread over the coffin. There is a spectacular blaze of light from the gemstones, shedding a spectrum of colour across the room.

READ BOOK
Your words ring out through the shallow chamber, echoing through the damp air until resounding softly into oblivion.
The sceptre begins to flicker, each gem upon its surface scintillating with a marvellous light.
The aurora is cast about the silver threads of the tapestry, lending a life-likequality to the figures upon it.
An etheral mist gathers about the effulgence of the sceptre, enveloping the sarcophagus in a shimmering cloud of light. From the cloud rises the spectre of a tall, handsome gentlemen clad in ceremonial armour. In his hand he bears the adamant sceptre and from his empty lips spring forth words tinged with ancient sorrow. "Ye hath saved me from the binding curse of the Orcish Shaman wherein I was held in eternal torment as a twisted undead. Now my burial cairn shall be sealed and at peace again. Flee yeh, my saviour, unless you wish to be buried here with me."

JAB WIGHT
You thrust the shortsword forward and the wight jumps back, wailing. Pressing your advantage you jab forward, skewering the dark creature through its cold heart. A disembodied scream fills the air, the Wight's iron crown topples to the floor. The sword appears to melt, and you drop it as it fades away, its purpose fulfilled.
The shadow of the wight fades, then flickers and utterly disappears. Its robes fall to the ground with the iron crown which it wore.
