EXAMINE

The painting is a large one and in housed in an exquisite gilded frame which though old and somewhat weathered is obviously of the finest quality. The portrait is of one of the original founders of the brotherhood, Master Blaggard of the Smiths, now long forgotten in the annals of all except the brotherhood themselves. The portrait is of Blaggard in earlier years. Blaggard is represented by the artist as a gaunt and haggard man, whose eyes gleam with an unnatural fervour, and whose face's every sinew speaks of great courage guile and tenacity. The portrait is a full length one and shows Blaggard in a state of readiness to do battle, longknife clasped in hand, while another hand clasps a purse which bulges at his side.
