EXAMINE

The painting is a large one and in housed in an exquisite gilded frame which though old and somewhat weathered is obviously of the finest quality. The portrait is of one of the original founders of the brotherhood, Duke Grendel, one of the finest thieves ever to walk the land and a leading figure among the nobility of his day. Grendel is a small man, of slight appearance, who is fitted out with the finest apparel, a wide brimmed hat with a feather shadowing his youthful visage. Grendel bears a number of utility belts and pouches about his person in which are stored the numerous contraptions which he used in his career as a thief and member of the brotherhood.
