EXAMINE

The statue is carved from the finest white marble and depicts a beautiful woman wearing the robes of the high priestess of Apollo, the god of light. In her right hand she holds a magestaff, its base resting lightly upon the ground. Looking into the statue's face, you notice the eyes have been made from two dark emeralds. Stepping back to admire the workmanship, you see a plaque wreathed in roses at the base of the statue. You crouch to examine the engraved message which reads "In memory of Lady Sirina, your sacrifice will never be forgotten." While reading the inscription, a soft green glow seems to come from above you. Looking up at the statue, you gasp in surprise, the source of the light is the statue's eyes! As you watch, the glow diminishes and the eyes become dark again.
